New monolith signs have been installed in St Albans to help people find their way to attractions, facilities and historical buildings.
The modern signs installed by St Albans District Council include easy-to-follow maps showing destinations that are popular with visitors and the main shopping areas.
They feature images of the City’s landmarks and the new visitor ‘St Albans: Choose Your Story’ logo.
The new monolith signs are located at Verulamium Museum, Abbey Station, Holywell Hill,St Peter’s Street and the platform 4 entrance to the City Station.
The signs were developed in consultation with a range of local societies and groups.
This followed the council’s adoption of a Public Realm Delivery Strategy identifying the need for clearer pedestrian signage to improve the visitor experience.
