The following cases were heard before magistrates between December 22 and January 3.

Monday, December 22

Marc Damien Edward Browne, 37, of Oster Street, St Albans. On November 30, 2014, assaulted a person by beating her. Also, on same date, damaged a double glazed window belonging to another. Community order made with prohibited activity, programme and supervision requirements. Compensation, costs: £250.

Jordan Alams, 18, of Pemberton Close, St Albans. On September 17, 2014, en route near Elstree and Borehamwood station, failed to hand over ticket for inspection and verification of validity when asked to do so by an authorised person. Fine, compensation, costs: £346.70.

Louise Ehough, 22, of Serra House, Charington Place, St Albans. On September 14, 2014, at St Albans station, failed to hand over ticket for inspection and verification of validity when asked to do so by an authorised person. Fine, compensation, costs: £286.30.

Jordana Manion, 18, of Arden Court, Arden Grove, Harpenden. On September 14, 2014, entered a train for the purpose of travelling without having a valid ticket entitling travel. Fine, compensation, costs: £341.20.

Justin Mark Brimmer, 44, of Radlett Road, Frogmore. On August 13, 2014, failed to deliver to the Secretary of State that part of the registration document containing the required particulars relating to the notification of the transfer of the vehicle to a person who was not a vehicle trader. Fine, costs: £245.

Tuesday, December 23

Ross Gauntlett, 26, of Lavender Crescent, St Albans. On October 11, 2014, in St Albans, committed an act outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £100.

Osvaldo Pereira, 36, of Praetorian Court, Vesta Avenue, St Albans. On June 25, 2014, drove in Hatfield Road, St Albans, without a valid licence. Fine, costs: £305.

Nicholas James Smith, 31, of Partridge Road, St Albans. On June 21, 2014, drove in Watford Road, Chiswell Green, at a speed in excess of the 30mph legal limit. Fine, costs: £322. Six penalty points.

Monday, December 29

Christopher Alan Storton, 33, of Grove Avenue, Harpenden. On June 15, 2014, assaulted a police officer in the execution of his duty. Also, on same date, assaulted a second police officer in the execution of his duty. Also, on same date, drove in Southdown Road, Harpenden, without a valid licence; used a vehicle without insurance; assaulted a third police officer in the execution of his duty. Commission of a further offence during operational period of a suspended sentence order made on November 15, 2013, for theft and failing to stop after an accident. Committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 18 months. Order includes programme and supervision requirements. Compensation, costs: £350. Six penalty points.

Tuesday, December 30

Camilla Rose Hudson, 22, of Bishops Close, St Albans. On November 30, 2014, was guilty, while drunk, of disorderly behaviour. Discharged conditionally for six months. Costs: £100.

Frederick Bandy, 62, of Birchwood Way, Park Street. On June 28, 2014, drove in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, at 37mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £305. Three penalty points.

Richard Charles Ellis, 49, of Roundwood Park, Harpenden. On November 6, 2014, drove on the M25 at 96mph, the legal limit being 70mph. Fine, costs: £525. Five penalty points.

Friday, January 2

Petra Leighton, 45, of Meadow Close, London Colney. On October 15, 2014, was in charge of a dog, namely a black and white spaniel breed type, which was dangerously out of control in Walsingham Park and while so out of control, injured a person. Unless the dog (Frankie), a cocker spaniel, is kept under proper control, by being kept muzzled and on a lead while in a public place, it must be destroyed. Fine, compensation, costs: £230.

Charlotte Wilmer-Barbrook, 47, of St Anne’s Road, London Colney.
