The following cases were heard before magistrates between December 15 and December 19.

Monday, December 15

Anderson Martin Andrew, 43, of Wells Close, St Albans. On September 19, 2014, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person to believe immediate unlawful violence would be used against them. Also, on October 28, 2014, used a vehicle without insurance. Committed to prison for 18 weeks. Also, on same date, drove in Hempstead Road, Watford, without a valid licence. Also, on October 6, 2014, was in possession of a quantity of cannabis, a class B drug. Also,on October 28, 2014, drove without due care and attention. Also, on November 26, 2014, drove in Kentish Town Road, NW5, after consuming so much alcohol the proportion in breath was 46 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Banned from driving for 12 months. Also, on same date, drove without a valid licence, used a vehicle without insurance and was in possession of a quantity of cannabis, a class B drug. Also, on October 11, 2014, used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress. Also, on November 5, 2014, damaged a car park barrier belonging to The Parking Shop. Also, on December 14, 2014, wilfully obstructed a police officer in the execution of his duty. Also, on October 13, 2014, sent a mobile phone text message which was in whole or in part of an indecent or grossly offensive nature for the purpose of causing distress or anxiety. Also, on October 20, 2014, used a vehicle without insurance. Also, on same date, drove without a valid licence, and used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress.

Stefan Michael Jakeman, 24, of Nuns Lane, St Albans. On October 28, 2014, stole meat products worth £63.13 from the Co-Op, St Albans. Also, on November 6, 2014, together with another, stole meat from the Co-Op, London Colney. Com-mission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge made on March 28, 2014, for theft. Committed to prison for six weeks suspended for 12 months. Compensation, costs: £381.

Bhollo B Bhay, of Gills Hill Lane, Radlett. On June 16, 2014, failed to deliver to the Secretary of State that part of the registration document containing the required particulars relating to the notification of the transfer of the vehicle to a person who was not a vehicle trader. Fine, costs: £310.

Hassan Bouchra El Hamri, of St Leonard’s Crescent, St Albans. On August 2, 2014, failed to deliver to the Secretary of State that part of the registration document containing the required particulars relating to the notification of the transfer of the vehicle to a person who was not a vehicle trader. Fine, costs: £310.

Carmine Failla, 39, of Telford Court, Alma Road, St Albans. On June 25, 2014, failed to deliver to the Secretary of State that part of the registration document containing the required particulars relating to the notification of the transfer of the vehicle to a person who was not a vehicle trader. Fine, costs: £310.

Wafaa Khalid Khadir, of Artisan Crescent, St Albans. On July 21, 2014, kept on a public road a vehicle which was unlicensed. Fine, back duty, costs: £309.17.

Michael Manyangadze, 33, of Tavistock Close, St Albans. On July 21, 2014, kept on a public road a vehicle which was unlicensed. Fine, back duty, costs: £347.50.

Sean Joseph Reeves, 27, of Ashwell Park, Harpenden. On July 25, 2014, kept on a public road a vehicle which was unlicensed. Fine, back duty, costs: £566.67.

Dean Sexton, of Aspasia Close, St Albans. On June 13, 2014, kept on a public road a vehicle which was unlicensed. Fine, back duty, costs: £307.09.

Mark Colin Sharpley, of Windmill Avenue, St Albans. On July 10, 2014, kept on a public road a vehicle which was unlicensed. Fine, back duty, costs: £347.50.

Daniel Smallcorn, 28, of Ashley Road, St Albans. On June 27, 2014, kept on a public road a vehicle which was unlicensed. Fine, back duty, costs: £346.25.

Tuesday, December 16

Charnelle Marie Georgestone, 22, of Lovatts Cottages, Park Street. On November 19, 2014, ass-aulted a police officer in the execution of his duty. Fine, costs: £178.

Guy Lewis, 40, of Abbots Park, St Albans. On November 20, 2014, drove in Bell Lane, St Albans, after consuming so much alcohol the proportion in breath was 92 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Community order made with programme, supervision and unpaid work requirements. Costs: £145. Banned from driving for 51 months, to be reduced by 51 weeks if approved course undertaken.

Andrew Scott Niven, 36, of Scrubbitts Square, Radlett. On November 14, 2014, stole £100 cash from a person. Community order made with unpaid work requirement. Compensation, costs: £200.

Emille Stephan Stapleton, 19, of Martins Court, Swallow Road, St Albans. On November 21, 2014, assaulted a person with intent to resist or prevent the lawful apprehension of self. Also, on same date, used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £15.

Liam Hadley, 22, of Meadway, Colney Heath. On November 22, 2014, was guilty, while drunk, of disorderly behaviour. Fine, costs: £155.

Rezaul Kadir Choudhury, 43, of Drakes Drive, St Albans. On June 14, 2014, drove in Hatfield Road, St Albans, at 54mph, the legal limit being 40mph. Fine, costs: £205. Three penalty points.

Wednesday, December 17

Stephanie Gillian Cousins, 39, of Down Edge, Redbourn. Between August 20, 2014, and September 17, 2014, failed to reveal identity of driver of a vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fine, costs: £745. Six penalty points.

Timmy Drewett, 21, of Melbourne Close, St Albans. On June 17, 2014, drove in Drakes Drive, St Albans, at 39mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £305. Three penalty points.

Gary Moloney, 36, of Hughenden Road, St Albans. On June 19, 2014, drove in Stanborough Link Road, Welwyn Garden City, while using a hand-held telephone. Fine, costs: £305. Three penalty points.

Thursday, December 18

Rubert John Davis, 51, of Jenkins Avenue, Bricket Wood. On June 19, 2014, drove in Watling Street Radlett, while using a hand-held telephone. Fine, costs: £305. Three penalty points.

Sasha Rachel E Wien, 43, of Medow Mead, Radlett. On June 18, 2014, drove at a speed in excess of the 40mph legal limit. Fine, costs: £305. Six penalty points.

David Barralet, 20, of London Road, St Albans. On July 28, 2014, was in possession in a public place of an offensive weapon namely a baseball bat. Also, on August 15, 2014, failed to surrender to custody. Community order made with programme and supervision requirements. Costs: £210.

Friday, December 19

Kyle Michael Leahy, 18, of How Wood, Park Street. On August 19, 2014, was in possession of a small grinder full of cannabis, a class B drug. Discharged conditionally for six months. Costs: £100.

Luke Charles Wallis, 23, of Butterfield Lane, St Albans. On November 18, 2014, stole a pedal cycle. Fine, compensation, costs: £555.

Hubert Pabis, 37, of Cambridge Road, St Albans. On September 24, 2014, assaulted a person by beating her. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £215.
