Plans to build two four bedroom houses in Aldenham Avenue, Radlett were approved by Hertsmere Borough Council.
The applicant proposes to demolish the existing building and build two detached two storey houses with associated parking.
Aldenham Parish councillor, David Lambert spoke against the application at the planning meeting on Thursday, February 12.
He argued that the proposal was too large and not in keeping with the character of the street.
However, the council said it did not go against any policy and unanimously approved it.
