An appeal against refusal of planning permission for a new church has been dismissed.
Wheathampstead URC appealed against St Albans City District Council’s refusal of the demolition of the existing buildings at United Reformed Church in Brewhouse Hill.
They wanted to construct a new church building with community facilities and three, two-storey houses.
The council said the main issues are the effect on the character and appearance of the area and the effect on the living conditions.
