Monday, January 5

Elaine Alison Gough, 33, of Fairfield Close, Radlett. Between June 5, 2010, and August 12, 2013, at Radlett, dishonestly failed to notify Hertsmere Borough Council of a change of circumstances which affected entitlement to housing benefit and Council Tax benefit. Also, on or about, June 21, 2010, at Radlett, dishonestly made a statement to Hertsmere Borough Council that was false in order to obtain a benefit, advantage or other payment, namely housing benefit and Council Tax benefit. Committed to prison for six months suspended for 12 months. Order includes unpaid work requirement. Costs: £85.

Naiel Al-Nasser, of Page Place, Frogmore. On August 28, 2014, failed to deliver to the Secretary of State that part of the registration document containing the required particulars relating to the notification of the transfer of the vehicle to a person who was not a vehicle trader. Fine, costs: £310.

Ben Baptiste, 28, of Buttermere Close, St Albans. On September 5, 2014, failed to deliver to the Secretary of State that part of the registration document containing the required particulars relating to the notification of the transfer of the vehicle to a person who was not a vehicle trader. Fine, costs: £310.

Robert Boden, 56, of Cottonmill Crescent, St Albans. On October 26, 2014, kept on a public road a vehicle which was unlicensed. Fine, back duty, costs: £605.

Mark Fisher, 39, of Lower Luton Road, Wheathampstead. On September 2, 2014, failed to deliver to the Secretary of State that part of the registration document containing the required particulars relating to the notification of the transfer of the vehicle to a person who was not a vehicle trader. Fine, costs: £245.

Tuesday, January 6

Emily Natacha Horwood, 35, of Castle Road, St Albans. In court to make statutory declaration following conviction for speeding. Original offence: On June 17, 2014, drove in Beech Road, St Albans, at a speed in excess of the 30mph legal limit. Fine, costs: £290. Four penalty points.

Daniel Simonica, 32, of Camp Road, St Albans. On December 1, 2014, failed to provide a specimen of breath in the course of an investigation into whether had committed an offence. Also, on same date, used a vehicle without insurance; used a vehicle to which no test certificate had been issued. Fine, costs: £1,035. Banned from driving for 19 months, to be reduced by 19 weeks if approved course undertaken.

Rajendra Prasad Ramyead, 67, of The Park, St Albans. On November 27, 2014, drove in Selwyn Drive, Hatfield, after consuming so much alcohol the proportion in breath was 90 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Fine, costs: £635. Banned from driving for 23 months, to be reduced by 23 weeks if approved course undertaken.

David Lee Elliott, 35, of Penman Close, St Albans. On June 27, 2014, drove in Black Fan Road, Welwyn Garden City, at 52mph, the legal limit being 40mph. Fine, costs: £210. Three penalty points.

Wednesday, January 7

Daniel Frame, 34, of Ladies Grove, St Albans. On January 5, 2015, together with another, entered Sandon Saddlery as a trespasser with intent to steal. Also, on same date, drove without a valid licence and used a vehicle without insurance. Committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months. Fine, compensation, costs: £415. Banned from driving for 12 months.

Ned Joseph Connors, 18, of Lye Lane, Bricket Wood. On July 3, 2014, drove on the hard shoulder of the A1M prior to exit slip road. Fine, costs: £305. Three penalty points.
