A St Albans based hospice charity is marking 30 years of care with a black tie ball fundraiser at The Grove in Watford.

Rennie Grove Hospice Care will hold the Gala Ball on Saturday, April 17, which is set to include a reception, three course dinner with wine, coffee and petit fours.

Guests will be dancing to the Jazz Dominoes and can expect entertainment and the opportunity to bid for auction lots.

Tickets cost £125 per person and tables seat a maximum of 12 people.

Jane Foy, philanthropy manager at Rennie Grove, said: "This event promises to be a fantastic evening where we hope everyone will enjoy themselves while helping to raise significant funds for the ever increasing number of local people in need of our service.

"The Ball Room will be adorned with thousands of twinkling lights, each representing a person who has been associated in any way with the charity over its 30 years of care.

"You can help Rennie Grove light up the night by attending the ball or by making a Star pledge either in memory of a loved one or simply to support the specialist hospice care provided by the charity in the local area."

All Star pledge donations will be acknowledged in the Ball programme and represented by a personalised star at the Ball.

A star pledge of £20 pays for one hour of nursing care, a shining star pledge of £150 pays for one shift of nursing care and a guiding star pledge of £500 pays for the Hospice at Home Night Team deliver one night's care.
