A 25-year-old entrepreneur from St Albans will be one of the dance instructors leading a six hour dance frenzy to raise money for charity.

Zoe Jackson, who owns St Albans-based Living The Dream performing arts company, will be on stage at the SSE Wembley Arena, as one of the dance leader’s for Red Nose Day’s Danceathon on Sunday, March 8. 

Ms Jackson is also one of 60 young people from across the Commonwealth who are being recognised as exceptional leaders in their community and will be presented with the Queen's Young Leaders Award in June.

The award will be presented in London by Her Majesty The Queen for her efforts to inspire young people through performing arts.

The former Beaumont School pupil said: “I am so excited to be involved with Comic Relief’s Danceathon.

Teaching Wembley and the nation to dance for such a good cause will be so much fun.

“I can’t wait.”

More than 2,000 fundraisers will dance at the event, with thousands expected to take part in their living rooms across the country. Participants will be able to get their groove on to 70s disco, 80s power, 90s rave as well as pop, soul, ballroom and musical theatre.

Zoe and the huge crowd of dancers will be joined throughout the day by celebrities including Paralympic medallist Ade Adepitan MBE, Arlene Phillips, Caroline Flack, Chelsee Healey, Davina McCall, Jo Whiley, Rachel Riley, Rufus Hound, and Zoe Ball.
