Friday, January 23

Troy Ahern, 24, of Lemsford Road, St Albans. On November 5, 2014, assaulted a person. Also, on January 15, 2015, with intent to deceive, impersonated a special constable or member of a police force. Also, similarly, on January 16, 2015. Also, on January 16, 2014, assaulted a person. Also, on January 22, 2014, with intent to deceive, impersonated a special constable or member of a police force. Committed to prison for 24 weeks suspended for 18 months. Order includes exclusion, prohibited activity requirements. Costs: £165.

Glen Temple, 31, of The Cottage, Shenley Lane, London Colney. On December 5, 2014, assaulted a person by beating her. Fine, costs: £470.

Mark O’Leary, 51, of Trowley Hill Road, Flamstead. On November 3, 2014, assaulted a person by beating him. Community order made with unpaid work requirement. Compensation, costs: £270.

John Francis Fitzgerald, 37, of Snatchup, Redbourn. On August 8, 2014, failed to give specimen of breath for analysis when suspected of committing an offence. Fine, costs: £255. Banned from driving for 14 months, to be reduced by 14 weeks if approved course undertaken.

Craig Johnson, 33, of Meadow Close, London Colney. On July 19, 2014, drove in Shenley Road, London Colney, at 49mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £635. Six penalty points.

Sarah Ann White, 33, of Lybury Lane, Redbourn. On July 3, 2014, drove a motor vehicle in Church Street, Rickmansworth, while using a hand-held telephone. Fine, costs: £185. Three penalty points.

Monday, January 26

Richard O’Sullivan, 51, of Betty Enwistle House, Holyrood Crescent, St Albans. On January 25, 2015, assaulted a community support officer acting in the execution of his duty. Also, on same date, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour thereby causing a person harassment, alarm or distress. Also, on same date, consumed alcohol, had an unsealed container of alcohol, used abusive and threatening language towards staff of the emergency services and committed further acts of anti-social behaviour, contrary to Asbo made on July 4, 2013. Committed to prison for 20 weeks. Costs: £80.

Stephen Richard Brand, 23, of Elm Drive, St Albans. On May 23, 2014, drove in Upper Marlborough Road, St Albans, while not wearing an adult seat belt. Fine, costs: £190.

Lewis John Edwards-Staker, 27, of Kendals Close, Radlett. On May 25, 2014, drove in Black Lion Hill, Shenley, at 47mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £410. Four penalty points.

Steve Cooper, of The Slype, Wheathampstead. On August 4, 2014, failed to deliver to the Secretary of State that part of the registration document containing the required particulars relating to the notification of the transfer of the vehicle to a person who was not a vehicle trader. Fine, costs: £310.

Karl Paul Gibbard, of Bucknalls Drive, Bricket Wood. On September 6, 2014, failed to deliver to the Secretary of State that part of the registration document containing the required particulars relating to the notification of the transfer of the vehicle to a person who was not a vehicle trader. Ibrahim Sultan Miyah, 37, of Meadow Croft, St Albans. On December 24, 2013, was the person in whose name a vehicle was registered when it did not meet the insurance requirements of the relevant section of the Road Traffic Act. Fine, costs: Fine, costs: £330.

Shane Patrick Begley, of Hyde View Road, Harpenden. Samantha Hutley, 34, of Philmore Place, Radlett. On October 13, 2014, en route near St Albans station, failed to hand over ticket for inspection and verification of validity when asked to do so by an authorised person. Fine, compensation, costs: £343.90.

Tuesday, January 27

Tracy Hart, 35, of Thorne House, Townsend Avenue, St Albans. On November 12, 2014, stole food items worth £4 from Poundworld Stores, St Albans. Also, on same date, assaulted a person by beating him. Fine, costs: £160.

Daniel McLaughlin, 36, of Nicholls Close, Redbourn. On January 10, 2015, drove in Dunstable Road, Redbourn, after consuming so much alcohol the proportion in breath was 65 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Fine, costs: £481. Banned from driving for 17 months, to be reduced by 17 weeks if approved course undertaken.

Stuart Leslie Ruler, 35, of Hickling Way, Harpenden. On January 10, 2015, was in possession of one wrap of cocaine, a class A drug. Also, similarly, on January 11, 2015. Fine, costs: £525.

Danny Tony Smith, 24, of Monks Close, St Albans. On November 12, 2014, committed fraud by dishonestly claiming property belonged to self, intending to make a gain. Also, on same date, stole a watch worth £400 belonging to another. Community order made with unpaid work requirement. Compensation, costs: £302.50.

Christopher Parker, 37, of Meadway, Colney Heath. Between April 1, 2012, and June 23, 2013, dishonestly failed to notify a local authority of a change of circumstances which knew would affect entitlement to housing and Council Tax benefits, namely was living with another as man and wife. Also, between April 1, 2012, and June 21, 2013, dishonestly failed to notify DWP of a change of circumstances which knew would affect entitlement to jobseeker’s allowance, namely was living with another as man and wife. Community order made with curfew requirement. Costs: £145.

Timothy Paul Murphy, 51, of Eliot Place, Crabtree Lane, Harpenden. Appeared before court to make statutory declaration following conviction. Declaration made. Original offence: On May 3, 2014, drove on a speed restricted section of the M6 southbound, at a speed in excess of the 50mph legal limit. Fine, costs: £240. Three penalty points.

Phillip Anthony Whitworth, 41, of Azalea Close, London Colney. Between July 25, 2014, and August 22, 2014, failed to reveal identity of driver believed to have committed an offence. Fine, costs: £745. Six penalty points.

Paul David Matteucci, 47, of West Hall, Beningfield Drive, London Colney. On June 15, 2014, assaulted person by beating her. Community order made with supervision requirement. Restraining order made. Fine, costs: £645.

James Gordon Riley, 26, of Cotlandswick, London Colney. On December 16, 2014, damaged iPhone belonging to another. Also, on sundry dates in December 2014, pursued a course of conduct of a person which amounted to the harassment of that person. Restraining order made.
