St Albans Cathedral will be joining landmark buildings around the world by turning off its lights for one hour to mark the World Wildlife Fund's 'Earth Hour'.
Earth Hour is a worldwide grassroots movement by WWF to unite people to take action for the planet.
Canon Kevin Walton at St Albans Cathedral said: "We are always keen to participate in this important global initiative and hope other venues can join in too.
"As a member of the international Green Pilgrimage network, we continue to take steps towards a more sustainable future and are delighted to be hosting an Environmental Conference here in April for churches throughout the Diocese."
Everyone in St Albans is urged to join in Earth Hour 2015 from 8.30 to 9.30pm on Saturday, March 28. For more information, click here.
