Caroline Jones has raised more than £6,000 in three months with a unique fundraising challenge to wear a new charity shop outfit every day this year in honour of her late mother who died of breast cancer.

The 46-year-old from Harpenden is raising money in memory of her mother Mary Benson, who passed away in October.

Caroline will wear only "pre-loved" clothes for the whole of 2015 - with a new outfit every day from the Cancer Research UK shop in Harpenden's High Street where her mother volunteered for 13 years.

Caroline's quest has made her an internet sensation, and she has made several radio and TV appearances - including appearing on ITV's Loose Women.

Along with taking daily pictures of her outfits, Caroline will write a weekly piece in the Review with her outfit of the week. For the first, click here.

Below is the second:

A simple choice for me this week.

My outfit of the week goes to Day 76, as indeed does my vote for 'garage door of the week', or should that be 'garage door of the year'.

The blues in my outfit were the perfect partner for this tangerine backdrop, chosen by local photographer Penny Bird who kindly took my photographs that morning.

It was a very chilly start, but never the less this stunning (almost) floor-length silk Boden skirt, with high waistband, concealed side pockets and bands of block colour simply shouted out to be worn.

By teaming it with a cosy Lyle & Scott lambswool knit, in a soft apricot hue, a boxy Topshop denim jacket (note the rose gold buttons and the nautical detail embroidered on the back) and flat navy Bertie pumps it kept the whole outfit daytime wearable.

I kept my hair slick by pinning it up in a rockabilly quiff, giving me slightly more height. Accessories featured a couple of wooden bangles, navy clip-on vintage earrings and a simple tan clutch.

St Albans & Harpenden Review:

This look shows just how well strong colours can work together, garage door optional.

My Topshop denim jacket, Boden silk skirt, Lyle & Scott jumper, Bertie pumps, leather clutch, earrings, bangles and Stand Up To Cancer watch are all my own purchases from Cancer Research UK.

Falke navy footless tights, 'I'm in Love with Ginger' Rimmel lips, 'Brick' nails by John Lewis Collection and knickers, model's own.
