A garden centre in St Albans is getting ready to celebrate Easter and the arrival of spring this year by holding free Easter hunts for children visiting the centre during half term.

Notcutts garden centre will be running daily hunts from Saturday, March 28 to Monday, April 6 between 11am and 4pm, will have little explorers giggling their way around the garden centre as they search of the punch lines to six jokes on their activity sheet.

Those who return their sheets to a member of staff with all six punch lines correctly identified will earn themselves a chocolaty treat.

Nick Perrett, centre manager, said: "Easter is one of our favourite times of the year at Notcutts. It means spring is finally coming after a cold winter and we are able to get back in the garden once more.

"Our Easter Hunts are always lots of fun and we pride ourselves on offering our customers not only a first class shopping experience, but a great day out for all the family as well."

Notcutts will be open from 9am to 6pm over Easter Weekend apart from Easter Sunday where the garden centre will be closed.
