A future where cars fly and hoverboards are real might seem like a long way off – but groundbreaking 3D printers could soon make their way into schools in Hertfordshire.
Printing experts at The Digital Office, based in Bricket Wood, have unveiled the next generation of custom printing equipment which schools can use to bring technology to life.
The futuristic machines can create anything using a host of materials, including cakes and blocks of Lego and puzzles in just two hours.
Head teachers and business leaders across the county have already shown great interest in the Xnilo units.
Founder of The Digital Office, Richard Kirby, will unveil the printers during an event at Elstree Aerodrome next month.
He said: “We couldn’t be more excited about launching this ground-breaking new technology right here in Bricket Wood.
“The possibilities for 3D printing – and for homes, schools and businesses that get on board - are endless.
“After 30 years providing superior office printing equipment across the country, we are delighted to be pioneering the widespread use of this exciting technology.”
