Motorist taken to hospital after accident in Redbourn
A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an accident in Redbourn this afternoon.
Emergency services were called at around 3.35pm to the collision involving one van on Hemel Hempstead Road.
The driver was freed by the fire service, and taken to Luton hospital. He suffered multiple leg fractures and a fractured wrist.
The Herts air ambulance attended but was not used.
The road is closed in both directions at Cherry Tree Lane while recovery work takes place.
