A 44-year-old man is in a serious condition after he fell from a van on the M1 last night.
For reasons unknown at this time, the passenger of a white Volkswagen panel van fell from the car as it travelled southbound between junctions 9 and 8.
Emergency services attended the incident just before 6.40pm.
The driver, a 43-year-old man from Hayes, stopped the van and the man, who is 44-years-old and from Harrow, was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrookes hospital with serious head injuries.
He remains in a serious but stable condition.
