Arsenal FC has reportedly banned the mum of one of their brightest young stars from their London Colney training base after she was involved in a training-ground bust up and threatened to withdraw her son from a game.

According to national newspaper reports, Jule Niles "became aggressive, shouting from the touchline and threatening to enter the pitch and drag her son out of the game" at an under-21’s game between Arsenal and Aston Villa on Friday, April 24.

Her son, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, 17, was involved in the game which Arsenal under-21s lost 3-1 to Aston Villa under 21s.

Ms Niles, 36 and from Watford, has reportedly been banned from watching games at the Bell Lane training base after being involved in two incidents.

It is alleged Ms Niles was involved in a confrontation with a senior member of Arsenal’s backroom staff, believed to be the club’s chief transfer negotiator, Dick Law.

She was there to take part in discussions over her son’s contract and according to the BBC, both Law and Maitland-Niles’ agent received minor injuries after a confrontation.

Hertfordshire Constabulary was called and arrested the 36-year-old on suspicion of assault, though she was released without being charged.

The Telegraph reported she was no longer allowed to enter the training base, but Niles has denied this and posed for a photograph outside the training centre last week.

She is still allowed to drop off and collect Maitland-Niles from training.

During a second incident at the training ground, Ms Niles is reported to have been "aggressive, shouting from the touchline and threatening to enter the pitch and drag her son out of the game".

Stewards also had to intervene and police were called again, but no arrests were made and Ms Niles was issued with a warning.

Natalie Dearman, spokesman for Hertfordshire Constabulary, said: "Police were called at 4.11pm on March 20 to the location to reports two people had allegedly been assaulted by a woman. They were superficial injuries.

"Officers attended and a 36-year-old woman from Watford was arrested on suspicion of assault. She has since been released with no further action to be taken against her.

"Police were called to the location on Friday, April 24, at 2.40pm to reports a woman was refusing to leave the premises. Officers attended and the woman was issued with a warning.

"It would not be appropriate for us to make further comment."

Arsenal Football Club refused to comment on reports.

Maitland-Niles is highly regarded by backroom staff at Arsenal and is considered one of the club’s brightest young prospects.
