The Herts Air Ambulance Volunteer Team have been travelling the county on a Spring into Action Tour to recruit new volunteers.

The tour kicked off in Royston Market Square on April 14 and it was a busy few weeks for the team visiting St Albans Market, Van Hage in Ware, Hoddesdon Market, Church Square in Tring, Stevenage, Hitchin Market Square and Harpenden Sainsburys.

Jen Wall, volunteer manager at Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust, said: "It has been great fun going on tour around Hertfordshire and spreading the word about the charity.

"We are delighted with the response we have received and have already potentially signed up 12 volunteers.

"Our volunteer opportunities are open to anyone in the community and to people of all ages and experiences. Plus, it's a great way of making new friends.

"We are extremely grateful for the presence of committed volunteers who are our ambassadors for the charity, generously giving their valuable time and expertise without which we simply could not fly."

The charity is actively seeking to recruit individual volunteers to be an ambassador for their community and help promote the fantastic work of Herts Air Ambulance.

In addition they are looking for volunteer tin supporters to assist with the distribution and collection of their tins in their area.
