A man has been charged in connection to six offences of burglary which occurred in Harpenden and Hemel Hempstead.
On Tuesday, May 12, officers from Hertford’s Tactical Team carried out an arrested enquiry at an address in Luton which led to a man being taken into custody at Hatfield Police Station.
Dennis Skiller, aged 34, from Cemetary Road, Houghton Regis, has been charged with six counts of burglary and has been remanded to appear before St Albans Crown Court on May 27 for a preliminary hearing.
Chief Inspector for St Albans, Ken Townsend said: “I am aware that residents have been concerned about the recent spate of burglaries in Harpenden and I would like to reassure people that a great deal of work has been in response to these concerns.
“The Safer Neighbourhood Team will continue to increase their patrols and their shift pattern has been changed to ensure that we have officers proactively patrolling at the times the offences have taken place.”
