St Albans Cathedral has received an excellence award for the second year running.
Now in its fifth year, the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve top rating reviews on the world’s largest travel site.
Canon Kevin Walton said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive this accolade from our visitors.
"As the home of Britain’s first saint, and with such a rich tapestry of history and spiritual depth, together with a warm welcome for all, we have always known that St Albans Cathedral offers a unique experience. We look forward to welcoming many more visitors during the busy summer months."
The Cathedral runs free daily guided tours for visitors and has a busy programme of events coming up.
The Alban Pilgrimage takes place on Saturday June 20, where giant puppets take to the streets and retell the dramatic story of St Alban, next Thursday from 10am to 12.30pm children can enjoy a fun trail and craft activities; and the summer season also includes the ever popular tower tours which promise spectacular views across the city.
