Firefighters were called to a wheelie bin fire which is believed to have been deliberately started in Harpenden this morning.
One crew from Wheathampstead Fire Station put out a small fire in Holcroft Road just after 11.30am this morning.
Tom Shipp, spokesman for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue, said the contents of a wheelie bin were on fire in the open when the fire crew arrived and they remained on scene for 15 minutes.
A hose reel was used to put the fire out.
