Developers have lost an appeal to change the use of land in St Albans for keeping horses.
Banner Homes Limited had appealed to The Planning Inspectorate after St Albans District Council refused them permission to keep horses on land lying between Mayne Avenue and Bedmond Lane.
The application was refused by the council in August because of the effect on protected species, the effect on highway safety and on protected trees and landscape.
The appeal was this week dismissed by Claire Victory on behalf of The Planning Inspectorate.
