Firefighters were called to a small fire in the open in Harpenden this afternoon.
The crew from St Albans was called at 3.11pm to a fire near the railway bridge in Ayres End Lane (pictured in the map below).
A hose reel was used to extinguish the blaze, which was out by 3.31pm.
