Children sprinkled star dust over cakes as they built bridges with elderly people.
Pupils from Hertsmere Jewish Primary School, in Radlett, were invited to Michael Sobell Community Centre for Jewish Care’s national Bake Day.
People from Jewish Care’s Selig Court, in Golders Green Road, and Otto Schiff Home, in Limes Avenue, Brent Cross, learned to ice and decorate multi-coloured cakes with the children.
The class was held by Rachel Rachel, who owns Cakes by Rachel.
Chava Cupcake, the giant cupcake Bake Day mascot, also made an appearance.
