A performing arts school in St Albans is giving one young person a scholarship for their Summer Showcase 2015.

Living the Dream School of Performing Arts, based in Oakwood Drive, is offering the opportunity to entrants between five and 18.

The winner will receive a week of dance and musical theatre workshops before getting the chance to perform on stage at the school’s showcase at Alban Arena on Saturday, August 8.

At the showcase 100 young people from the school will be performing a variety show that will include a street dance, contemporary dance, musical theatre, acting, singing and more, and the production will be created entirely by young people.

Zoe Jackson, founder and director of Living the Dream, said: “We are so proud of all of our students who perform each year and the energy, passion and talent that they give.

“Our Summer Showcase at The Alban Arena this year is going to be amazing and we are very excited to be able to give more young people opportunities to perform with Living the Dream.

“We are also so honoured that our charity the Dream Foundation is able to support more young people this year in taking part in performing arts and following their dreams.”
