Children missing out on free school meals during the summer holidays can seek help from St Albans and District Foodbank.
Organisations including the Citizens Advice Bureau, the Health Visiting Service, Hertfordshire Community Health Trust and NHS Trust, children’s centre and social services teams can give vouchers for food parcels.
The distribution centres in Cunningham, Sopwell, Wheathampsted and Harpenden can also be visited.
The Cunningham distribution centre is open on Tuesdays between 3.30pm and 5.30pm at Cunningham Hub and Sopwell’s is open Wednesdays between 12.30pm and 2.30pm at Christadelphian Church Hall.
On Thursdays between 12.30pm and 2.30pm Wheathampstead’s distribution centre is open at Wheathampstead Memorial Hall and Harpenden’s is on Fridays between 1pm and 3pm at Batford Children’s Centre.
