A charity looking after the elderly has celebrated helping 250 people in the district.
St Albans Old Peoples Trust, who help residents over the age of 60 remain independent in their own homes, held a celebratory event last month attended by more than 60 people.
Dominic Mahabir, organiser and member of St Albans Old Peoples Trust, said the event went "extremely well".
He added: "We are very proud of what we have achieved and the people we have helped."
There are 4,219 elderly people living in St Albans who are reliant on state support.
The maximum grant the trust awards is £1,000, and can be for items such as white goods, medical equipment, cost of living payments, cleaning or shopping services, carpets or furniture.
The trust also provides grants to groups who help older people in St Albans District.
