The following cases were heard before magistrates between June 8 and June 12.

Thursday, June 11

George Langston, 23, of Portland Street, St Albans. On November 14, 2014, destroyed a window panel belonging to the Red Lion public house, Hemel Hempstead. Also, on same date, assaulted a police officer in the execution of his duty, and a second police officer in the execution of her duty. Community order made with alcohol treatment, prohibited activity, supervision and unpaid work requirements. Compensation, costs: £520.

Mary Cecilia Robinson, 45, of Roundfield Avenue, Harpenden. Applied to reopen a case following conviction for the offences of speding and driving without a valid licence. Case reopened. On August 12, 2014, drove in Lower Luton Road, Wheathampstead, at 40mph, the legal limit being 30mph. Fine, costs: £240. Three penalty points. Neil Terence Southwell, 57, of Tollgate Cottages, Colney Heath. On January 15, 2015, drove in St Annes Road, London Colney, while using a hand-held telephone. Fine, costs: £305. Three penalty points.

Friday, June 12

Francis Maynard, 35, of Harper Lane, Radlett. On December 5, 2014, assaulted a person by beating her. Fine, compensation, costs: £205.

Wayne David Fairbrother, 44, of New Kent Road, St Albans. On March 8, 2015, together with another, stole an unknown quantity of meat from the Co-op, Hatfield. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Costs: £65.

Sonny George Disspain, 18, of Cotlandswick, London Colney. On January 25, 2015, at St Albans, entered a train for the purpose of travelling without having a valid ticket entitling travel. Fine, compensation, costs: £188.50.

Steven Reilly, 20, of Watling Street, Radlett. On February 2, 2015, at Elstree and Borehamwood station, travelled on a railway without having previously paid fare and with intent to avoid payment thereof. Fine, compensation, costs: £673.30.
