The following cases were heard before magistrates between July 27 and 31.
Monday, July 27
Hugh Docherty, 43, of Cotlandswick, London Colney, St Albans. On January 13, 2015, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend his supervision appointment. Failed to comply with the requirements of a community order. Community order revoked. Original offence on June 14, 2014, driving whilst disqualified. Failed to provide specimen for analysis. Committed to prison for 12 weeks concurrent. Overall length of sentence 48 weeks.
Tuesday, July 28
Janet Elizebeth Ypey, 59, of Burnside, St Albans. On April 21, 2015, assaulted a person by beating him. On same date, used threatening or abusive words or behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment or distress. Discharged conditionally for 15 months. Costs: £415.
