The M1 has been re-opened after police closed the motorway because they were concerned about the welfare of a man on a bridge over the road.
The northbound carriageway was closed between junction 10 and 11 after police became concerned about the safety of man on the bridge over the M1.
Road closures have now been lifted after being put in place at 1pm.
Spokesman for Bedfordshire Police Victoria Bull said: “We were called shortly before 1pm this afternoon to Hatters Way, Luton, to reports of concerns for a man’s welfare.
“Hatters Way was closed at the junction with Dunstable Road, and the northbound carriageway of the M1 was also closed while police assisted at the scene.
“The incident has now been resolved.”
