Monday, August 24

Richard O’Sullivan, 52, of Grosvenor Road, St Albans. On August 22, 2015, assaulted a man by beating him. Committed to prison for eight weeks forthwith. On same date, damaged the glass panel in a white UPVC door. Committed to prison for four weeks forthwith consecutive to offence one. Costs: £230.

Andrew Simon Calvert, 52, of Watling Street, St Albans. On February 10, 2015, used a vehicle without insurance. Fine, costs: £330.

Richard Franklin, 30, of Puddingstone Drive, St Albans. On April 1, 2015, had a vehicle registered in his name which did not have insurance. Fine, costs: £330.

Tuesday, August 25

 Samantha Leanne Coombes-Jackman, 25, of Hyde View Road, Harpenden. On or between March 20, 2015, and May 5, 2015, committed fraud in that she dishonestly made a false representation, namely providing refunds on goods that were retained by the customer. Fine, compensation, costs: £602.

Joel Daniel Keith Budd, 35, of Grimthorpe Close, St Albans. On January 31, 2015, used a vehicle without insurance. Fine, costs: £910.

Thursday, August 27

Stephen John Kennard, 35, of Vale Court, Wheathampstead. On April 9, 2015, assaulted a woman by beating her. On same date, assaulted a constable in the execution of her duty. Community order made. Participate in Building Better Relationships for 30 days. Carry out unpaid work for 50 hours within the next 12 months. Compensation, costs: £420.

Sidney Winson, 28, of Watling Street, St Albans. On May 10, 2015, damaged a vehicle intending to destroy or damage such property. Committed to prison for 12 weeks forthwith concurrent. On same date, assaulted a woman by beating her. Committed to prison for 26 weeks forthwith. Restraining order made. On same date, used a vehicle without insurance. Disqualified from driving for one year. On same date, used threatening or abusive words or behaviour. Compensation, costs: £1,220.

Sidney Winson, 28, of Watling Street, St Albans. On May 26, 2015, stole two chocolate bars and two Red Bull drinks. Committed to prison for four weeks forthwith concurrent.

Lukasz Piotr Doniec, 30, of Dalton Street, St Albans. On January 30, 2015, having entered a dwelling as a trespasser stole a bicycle to the value of £350. Committed to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 12 months. Carry out unpaid work for 100 hours within the next 12 months. On same date, stole a bicycle to the value of £379.99. Committed to prison for eight weeks concurrent suspended for 12 months. On March 6, 2015, had in his possession a number of small bags of amphetamine. On March 23, 2015, failed without reasonable cause to surrender at Hatfield Police Station. Costs, compensation: £544.99.

Aissa Bakhti, 26, of Springfield Road, Smallford, St Albans. On January 27, 2015, used a vehicle on the M25 at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 50mph. Fine, costs: £178. Four penalty points.

Donna Gail Turnball, 50, of Harpenden Rise, Harpenden. On January 31, 2015, used a vehicle on Maylands Avenue at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30mph. Fine, costs: £240. Three penalty points.

Friday, August 28

Samuel Keith Georgeson, 35, of Masefield Road, Harpenden. On June 26, 2015, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, thereby causing alarm and distress. Committed to prison for two weeks forthwith concurrent. Also, on April 22, 2015, assaulted a woman by beating her; also, knowing that a woman was assisting in the investigation of an offence threatened to make public private Facebook messages, intending thereby to cause the investigation to be obstructed or interfered with. Suspended sentence of imprisonment of 20 weeks suspended for 12 months. Costs: £280.

Karen Nancy Flitton, 58, of Farrer Top, Markyate, St Albans. On July 15, 2015, assaulted a constable in the execution of his duty. On same date, used a vehicle after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 144 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months. Disqualified from driving for 34 months. Compensation, costs: £365.

Marc Damien Edward Browne, 38, of Lycaste Close, Dellfield, St Albans. On August 9, 2015, resisted a constable in the execution of his duty. Collection order made. Benefit deduction. Fine, costs: £320.

Philip John George Jeffreys, 36, of Shirley Road, St Albans. On August 7, 2015, with intent to cause alarm or distress, used threatening or abusive words or behaviour. Community order made. Carry out unpaid work for 100 hours in the next 12 months. Compensation, costs: £395.
