A black swan has been spotted in Verulamium Park.
Reader Peter Field snapped this picture of what appears to be a solitary black swan on the lake.
The rare birds are native to Australia. They appear all black when swimming but have some white wing feathers, which can be seen in flight.
The bill is red with a white band on the tip.
