Harpenden will be lit up with festive cheer this week as the town's Christmas lights are switched on.

The annual event will kick off from 12pm on Sunday with a Farmers’ Market, charity stalls, the Young Enterprise business fair and a fun fair.

Santa will also be in his Grotto in Thompson’s Close.

The Town Mayor Cllr Brian Ellis will switch on the lights at 5pm.

Free parking has been provided by Govia Thameslink from 12pm at the station car parks.
