A St Albans restaurant is turning up the heat in a bid to win a national award.
Chez Mumtaj in London Road, has been shortlisted for the South East region at the British Curry Awards 2015.
The restaurants, which specialises in Asian and French cuisine, opened eight years ago.
In 2013, they won the British Curry Award and last week it was announced they were the winners of the Asian Curry Award.
Manager Alaur Rahman said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for the award and I would have to say it is all down to teamwork.
“We always try to please our customers and ensure we give them freshly cooked food they can enjoy.”
Mr Rahman added that their most popular dishes include black cod, beef steak, mixed seafood and soft shell crab.
The winners of the British Curry Awards will be announced on November 30.
