Monday, November 16

Steven Anthony Mark Hersey, 23, of Waverley Court, Waverley Road, St Albans. On November 15, 2015, dishonestly undertook or assisted in the retention, removal or disposal of stolen goods, namely three boxes of chocolate belonging to B&M. Committed to prison for two weeks forthwith. On November 15, 2015, wilfully obstructed a police constable in the execution of his duty. Committed to prison for one week forthwith concurrent. On October 30, 2015, being a relevant offender within the terms of the Sexual Offences Act failed without reasonable excuse to notify the police of a change to his address. Committed to prison for two weeks forthwith. Overall length of sentence 90 days and 12 weeks. Costs: £260.

Tuesday, November 17

John Seleem Kaffash, 49, of Shenley Hill, Radlett. On April 29, 2015, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30mph. Fine, costs: £270. Three penalty points.

Claire Joanne Emma Simson, 46, of Wesley Road, Markyate, St Albans. On March 30, 2015, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 40mph. Fine, costs: £250. Three penalty points.

Wednesday, November 18

Gary Kenneth Neil Jakeman, 26, of Bricket Road, St Albans. On November 8, 2015, stole a Sat Nav to the value of £70. Committed to prison for 10 days forthwith. Compensation, costs: £335.

Samantha Hutley, 34, of Philmore Place, Radlett. Between June 23, 2015, and August 21, 2015, failed to comply with the community requirement of a suspended sentence order made by North London Magistrates’ Court. Suspended sentence order varied. Committed to prison for four weeks suspended for 12 months. Be under curfew for four weeks. Costs: £85.

Angelina Devlin, 18, of The Parade, Ellis House, St Albans. On January 14, 2015, assaulted a woman by beating her. On July 15, 2015, failed without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Central Herts Magistrates’ Court. On September 2, 2015, failed without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Central Herts Magistrates’ Court. On September 23, 2015, failed without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at St Albans Magistrates’ Court. Youth rehabilitation order made. Participate in Women’s Specific Activity for nine days. Compensation, costs: £200.

Thursday, November 19

Stephen Derek Baldock, 55, of Langley Grove, Sandridge, St Albans. On July 18, 2015, assaulted a woman by beating her. On same date, kicked the master bedroom door which he was prohibited from doing by a non-molestation order. Community order made. Exclsuion requirement made. Costs: £830.

Goran Aram, 20, of Allen Close, Shenley, Radlett. On April 2, 2015, used a vehicle when the registration mark required to be fixed on the front of the vehicle failed to comply with the Road Vehicles Regulations. Fine, costs: £327.

Peter Gilkes, 45, of Pickford Hill, Harpenden. On April 2, 2015, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30mph. Fine, costs: £327. Three penalty points.

Thomas Kevin Carey, 34, of Netherway, St Albans. On March 17, 2015, used a vehicle at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30mph. Disqualified from driving for four months. Fine, costs: £252.
