A walking and running event to raise money for Sport Relief is returning to Harpenden for the third year.

A Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile will be taking place in the town on Sunday, March 20, to raise money for this year’s Sport Relief.

Setting off from Rothamsted Park, the Harpenden Mile will pass through the surrounding countryside, including the Nickey Line.

Paralympic footballer David Clarke will start the event.

Tom Doe from Camp Green, an outdoor fitness company that organises the event, said: “The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Harpenden is here and it’s your time to walk or run yourself proud.

“From little ones with their mums and dads, to runners up against the lock there’s something for everyone to make themselves feel proud on this special day.”

The event will start at 10am with the six and three-mile runs leaving first, followed by the one-mile run at 10.10am.
