Resurfacing works in Upper Lattimore Road and Victoria Street in St Albans will begin from Monday, February 15.

The £130,000 resurfacing works will start in Upper Lattimore Road on Monday, February 15.

They will then move to the B691 Victoria Street between the junction of Marlborough Road and Upper Marlborough Road to the junction of Ridgmont Road from Tuesday 16 to Friday, February 19.

A full road closure, with a signed diversion route, will be in place between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

The diversion route during this closure will be A1081 St Peters Street, A0157 Hatfield Road, Stanhope Road and Grimston Road.

Terry Douris, who is Hertfordshire County Council cabinet member for highways, said: “These works form part of Hertfordshire County Council’s on-going commitment to maintain and improve our roads for the benefit of all road users in Hertfordshire.

“We appreciate that the road closure is likely to cause disruption and inconvenience to motorists and would ask everyone for their co-operation while the work in in progress.”
