A cyclist was taken to hospital after an accident in St Albans yesterday.
Motorists faced long delays in the city centre after the collision between the cyclist and a car.
Emergency services were called to Holywell Hill at about 4pm.
An Audi Q7 collided with a cyclist near to the road’s junction with Belmont Hill.
An air ambulance attended and took the injured man to hospital.
Holywell Hill was closed in both directions, near Albert Street for more than two hours.
The accident was cleared by 6.30pm.
