A £385,000 refurbishment has seen neurological services in the West of Hertfordshire brought under one roof.

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust has relocated its outpatient services from the Jacketts Field Rehabilitation Unit in Abbots Langley to a new facility at Langley House, Garston, where a 16-bedded inpatient unit for people with neurological needs already exists.

Based at the new facility will be specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, rehabilitation assistants, dietitians and speech and language therapists, supported by an administration team.

There are 1,200 outpatients on the case-loads for the Jacketts Field Unit, and all have been transferred to the new facility at Langley House – a couple of miles away.

The Trust’s Early Supported Discharge Stroke Service for the West of the county will also relocate to the site from Avenue Clinic in Watford.
