Amateur athletes in Hertfordshire completed their first triathalon event.
A total of 30 adults and children participated in a GoTri event on Sunday May 15 at Sandringham School, St Albans.
GoTri events offer beginners a flavour of a multisport events in St Albans and Hitchin are organised by triathlon coaching company Tri One.
Tri One director Rav Dighe said: "Every triathlon or camp we run, we are so impressed with the youngest participants.”
Half the participants on Sunday were eight to 10 year olds.
Mr Dighe added: "The goal is to get people of all ages involved in multi-sport events, which offer variety and real health benefits.”
Sunday’s GoTri event, was supported by Triathlon England and was the fourth Tri One event run in Hertfordshire this year.
A fifth is planned for June and another in September.
