A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been convicted this week after charges including possessing and distributing indecent images of a child – more than two years after he and seven other men were arrested as part of a large police operation.

Stephen McMillan, 26, of Viridian Square, Aylesbury, pleaded guilty to four counts at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 7.

The eight men, who were charged in April this year as part of Operation Royce, include two from Flackwell Heath, one from High Wycombe and one from Wooburn Green.

They are all due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on July 5.

The charged men are: 

  • Steven Douglas, 21, of Fennels Way, Flackwell Heath - arrested on February 10 last year and charged on April 19 this year with two counts of offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.
     
  • Charlie Merefield, 20, of Rosebery Avenue, High Wycombe - arrested on February 10 last year and charged on April 19 this year with three counts of offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.
     
  • Alex Foale, 20, of Green Dragon Lane, Flackwell Heath - arrested on February 12 last year and charged on April 20 this year with two counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.
     
  • Ryan Squire, 22, of Coaters Lane, Wooburn Green - arrested on February 10 last year and charged on April 20 this year with three counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.
     
  • Nathan Tilly, 23, of Boddington Road, Wendover - arrested on February 10 last year and charged on April 20 with two counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.
     
  • Nemanja Meletic, 24, of Mount Pleasant Road, London - arrested on February 10 last year and charged on April 19 this year with one count of causing/inciting a child aged 13-17 to prostitution/pornography, and six counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child.
     
  • Ryan Henry, 22, of Blackamoor Lane, Maidenhead - arrested on February 10 last year and was charged on April 20 this year with two counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15, one count of taking an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child, one count of causing/inciting a child 13 - 17 to prostitution/pornography, and two counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between 2008 and 2015 and relate to one victim.
