The annual festival across five different parks across the district returned last weekend with the theme ‘Little Bit of Midsummer Magic’.

Families gathered at five different green spaces in St Albans, London Colney and Harpenden for Larks in the Parks.

The festival took place in Victoria Playing Field, Highfield Park Cricket Pavillion, Fleetville Recreational Ground, all in St Albans, and London Colney Community Centre, London Colney, and Batford Green Space in Harpenden.

At each of those locations had their own events including live music, face painting and craft activities.

More than 5,000 people turned up to each location on Sunday June 26 which held competitions including welly wanging, tug of war and drumming workshops.

Parish Councils and voluntary groups worked with St Albans City and District Council and St Albans Arts Team to organise the activities.
