A former Olympian and X Factor contestant attended the launch of a trampoline park.

Chris Tomlinson, the former long jump record holder and Anton Stephans were at the Gravity Force opening, on August 16.

More than 300 people were in attendance and activities on the day included a dodgeball tournament between local businesses and St Albans Rugby Football Club.

Mr Tomlinson, who finished 6th in the long jump at the 2012 Olympics, said: “It’s great to be involved in days like today. Trampolining is just one way that kids can get active and be encouraged to try new sports.

“And with Great Britain winning a silver medal in the Olympic trampolining, there’s no better time to give it a go yourself.”

Richard Simpson, managing director at Gravity Force, added: “We’re delighted to open our St Albans site. The whole team has worked extremely hard to get the park ready and we couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out.”
