Sister Act

St Albans Musical Theatre Company, SAMTC, is ready to raise the roof with their new production of the award winning show Sister Act, based on the movie starring Whoopi Goldberg in which wise-cracking diva Deloris Van Cartier attempts to rouse a failing church choir with her dance moves and singing talent while also in witness protection disguised as a nun.

The show runs from Tuesday, November 8 to Saturday, November 12 at 7.45pm, including a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

RARE Productions Auditions

Attend open auditions for the forthcoming production of Annie. The audition takes between 20-30 minutes and you will be taught a short excerpt from a song, a short movement routine and maybe asked to read from the script. You do not need to book a time slot just arrive anytime during the audition.

Auditions take place on Sunday, November 13 from 10.30am. Performances will take place March 2017. Ages 8-12 will audition at 11am to 12.30pm and ages 13-21 will audition from 12.30pm to 2pm.

Soul II Soul

Led by producer vocalist songwriter Jazzie B, Soul II Soul are one of the most innovative dance R&B outfits from the UK, creating a seductive, deep R&B that borrowed from Philly soul, disco, reggae, and ’80s hip-hop. Featuring the vocals of Caron Wheeler, Soul II Soul’s third single, Keep on Movin, reached the UK Top Ten in March of 1989. Released in the summer of 1989, Back to Life also featured Wheeler and was another Top Ten hit.
