It’s that time of the year again - the days are getting colder, the nights are getting longer, and the weekends are becoming far more hectic than you would want.

We try to cram so much into those few precious hours of daylight, whether it’s a leisurely walk in the park or a manic rush to finish the Christmas shopping.

Well this weekend could end up being a bit of a washout, so make sure you’re armed with a brolly and raincoat whatever you do.

Temperatures have been unseasonably high over the last couple of days. However these are due to drop down again by the end of the weekend.

Friday is due to be mild but will become breezier as the day draws on. Rain is forecast for much of the day on Saturday, with some spells due to be quite heavy.

The low cloud which hangs around for much of the day should clear later on.

Sunday therefore is predicted to be brighter but that does mean temperatures will be lower, especially overnight as we move into Monday.

We could see the return of overnight frost for the new week as a result.
