Here's a quick round-up of what you need to know this Thursday morning:
Weather
It will be a cold, crisp and sunny morning for many.
That will turn into a dry and sunny day, but despite the sunshine, it will stay very cold with temperatures just reaching 5 °C.
It will be another dry and cold night, with frost in many areas.
Minimum temperature will be a cold -4 °C tonight.
Traffic
Heavy traffic is reported on the A414 North Orbital road in both directions, drivers are advised to avoid of they can.
There is also slow traffic on the A405 Southbound before St Albans.
There is currently heavy traffic on the A1 Southbound in Borehamwood between Stirling corner and A41 junction.
Resurfacing works have started on the M25, on junctions 22 London Conley to 23 South Mimms, Hertfordshire.
The clockwise carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, from Tuesday 3 January for 3 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A1081, A414, A1001, A1(M) and M25 junction 23.
Work on a bridge joint replacements, on the structure that carries M1 over the Thameslink railway line will start this week
The southbound carriageway (including the London Gateway entry slip road) will be closed overnight, between 10pm-5.30am, from Thursday 5 December for 4 nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A41 and A406 to M1 junction 1.
Travel
There will be no TfL rail service between Brentwood and Shenfield, from Tuesday 3 January until late May 2017.
There is a good service on all underground lines.
