A woman from St Albans broke into a safe belonging to one of her closest friends and stole more than £3,000, a court heard.
Suzanne Smallwood, 54, of Chiltern Road, pleaded guilty to committing the theft in June last year.
The mother-of-two was handed a ten-month prison sentence, suspended for 21 months, at St Albans Crown Court today (Thursday).
