Locals helped spread the word that teenager Chloe Hall had gone missing from the town centre four days previously. Thankfully she has since been found.
A driver was found guilty of causing the death of his friend by driving dangerously. Sajid Ali pulled out in front of an oncoming lorry, which smashed into the car and threw his friend from the vehicle. Ali will be sentenced on February 3.
Driver travels wrong way down dual carriageway between Hatfield and St Albans
Police are hunting a driver who drove the wrong way down a dual carriageway. Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over but it was driven into a petrol station and then back down on the wrong side of the A414.

And finally, an unclaimed lottery ticket worth £1m was revealed to have been bought in St Albans. The lucky ticket holder has until June to collect their prize.
