Pupils at St Albans High School for Girls created their own Enigma machines and learned about security risk identification in an event organised by the school.
The school’s Cyber Security Day provided Year 9 students a chance to learn about cyber security and possible career options in the industry.
The students explored a range of practical activities, including code-breaking, role play, writing tweets and phishing emails to get inside the mind of a hacker.
The day started with talks from Chelsea Shand, Eleanor Murray and Natalie George, all Higher Apprentices on BT’s Cyber Security team, as well as Alison Springate, Head of Global Sales Enablement at BT Security.
The Curriculum Manager at Bletchley Park Qufaro, Stephanie Aldridge, also participated, along with Ian Yorston, Head of Digital Strategy at Radley College.
