Downed overhead power cables in the St Albans area are causing disruption to trains between London and Bedford, according to Thameslink.
Network Rail has recently announced that all four lines between St Albans and London St Pancras are currently closed.
The disruption is predicted to run until 12 noon at the earliest. Network Rail said it was investigating the cause of the damage.
Uno buses are accepting train tickets between Hatfield and St Albans.
