Ruislip-Northwood Flower Arranging Demonstration

Ruislip-Northwood Flower Club are holding a flower arranging demonstration. The demonstrator will be Yvonne Tan and her title is ‘A Holiday in the Sun’. There will be a sales table, and tea, coffee and biscuits are available in the interval.  The flower designs are raffled at the close of the meeting, so do come along and have a delightful evening, a warm welcome awaits.

Not Just a Hedgehog

Ben Andrews will give an illustrated talk on Not Just a Hedgehog!  Ben’s picture of the Happy Hedgehog was on the front cover of the BBC Countryfile Calendar 2016.  Ben is a supporter adviser to the RSPB. When he is not talking about wildlife he is photographing it.  He hopes to inspire his audience to get out and take photos.

Rickmansworth Historical Society

Herringsate Farm at Rickmansworth became the first of the Chartist Land Company’s plan to create agricultural settlements where members could win freehold smallholdings in a ballot and settle down to a simple rural life of independence and prosperity. But the project did not work out exactly as planned. Come and hear how the scheme unravelled.
